Aligned Bio – Low-Cost Single Molecule Detection Wins EIC Grant

LUND, SWEDEN – Aligned Bio, a pioneering developer of nanowire single-molecule detection technology for applications in biomarker discovery, in vitro diagnostics (IVD), and next-generation sequencing (NGS), is proud to announce that it has secured a €2.3 million grant from the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator program.

This prestigious grant will allow Aligned Bio to bring its cutting-edge nanowire (NW) platform to the biomedical market—accelerating the development of affordable, ultra-sensitive biosensing solutions that can transform the way we detect and monitor diseases.

The EIC Accelerator is one of the most competitive public funding programs for deep-tech startups in the world. Designed to support high-impact innovations from ambitious SMEs, the program received over 4,000 applications this year, with only 164 companies selected for funding. Aligned Bio’s selection is a significant endorsement of both its vision and its technological potential.
